A Few New Cards

It has been a while since I have been able to post some cards!  It's also been a while since I have had time to make some.  I did get a couple hours last weekend to try out my new Gina K stamp sets and I couldn't be more ecstatic!

I had ordered the "Label Borders" but I received the "Lacy Borders" on accident.  I contacted them to find out how best to trade so I could get the ones I wanted.  I didn't think I would use the Lacy Borders by Gina K. Stamp Set anyway.  They told me to keep them because it was their mistake.  So while I waited to receive the correct stamp set, I did a quick search to see if I could get some inspiration for using the Lacy ones.  I had determined if I couldn't come up with something, I would just pass them on to my mom.  I have gotten her hooked on Gina K stamps so I'm sure we'll trade now and then anyway so we can utilize the different sets that each other has.  So...back to the search.  I found a great simply sympathy card that I used with one of the new Memento ink pads my mom picked up for me when she was out shopping.  I LOVE the simplicity of this card!

Red Lace Sympathy
The next card I made with the Lacy Borders by Gina K. Stamp Set was a birthday card.  I am not sure where the paper flowers come from because they were from a set my mom had and she had just given me a few of them to add to my  embellishment box.  I wanted to do something else with the Lacy Borders after the sympathy card was so successful to me so I decided to try to emboss it.  I have a couple of beautiful bright colored embossing powders that I don't use too often because I just never really have anything to go with them.  When I dug through my powders, I was so excited to find the perfect one to match my moms flowers!  The papers are from a DK something or other paper pack (I have wayyy to many papers to ever remember where they come from) and the stamp is from one of Gina K's greeting sets I believe.  I'm super pleased with this card and I think I enjoy the Lacy Borders!  I'll have to lend them to my mom sometime because I think she will like them too!

Sparkle Blue and Yellow Birthday
So, as I slowly step back from my duties as a long term Pop Warner football volunteer, I hope to be spending a lot more of my free time making cards and posting them here for my friends and family to view.

As always, thanks for looking.  Feel free to comment and offer any ideas for future cards that you might think of!
